I would like to take this opportunity to WELCOME each of you to the Capital Area Career Center (CACC) web page. CACC has been established to provide career training in nineteen different career areas to high school juniors and seniors. There are fourteen participating school districts from Sangamon, Christian, Macoupin, Morgan and Menard Counties.

CACC has an experienced and highly competent staff and a distinctively designed near state of the art facility. All career and technical programs have been aligned with the Illinois State Learning Standards in reading, math and science. The staff and administration are committed to providing the best educational opportunities for all students. Graduates from all of our programs are highly sought by local employers.

The Center is also home to the Capital Area School of Practical Nursing (CASPN). Adult students are trained to become licensed practical nurses. CASPN is accredited by both the North Central Association and the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission. CASPN students have traditionally scored above the state average on the certification exam and have a 98% placement record.
